A note under the wiper gives away your number.
It also only works if you come back to the car, and only if you keep a pen in the glovebox.
A plate is already public. It is on the car, in the street, in every photograph anyone has ever taken of it. So use that as the address, and leave the number out of it.
Step one
Point at the plate.
Scan it with the camera, or type it. Any Romanian county.
If the car is on re:plyte the message goes straight through. If it is not, a QR sticker on the windshield does the same job — the owner’s phone can stay in their pocket.
Step two
Say why before you say anything.
Every message opens with a reason, chosen from a list the owner set themselves.
That single rule is what stops this becoming another inbox. There is no free-text cold open, no “hi”, no way to reach a stranger without first saying what you want. Owners who do not want to hear about parking simply do not offer parking as a reason.

Step three
Then it’s just a conversation.
Text, a photo of the gate they are blocking, a voice note. Read receipts. The plate at the top is the only identity either of you has.
If it is faster to talk, there is a masked call — €0.50, or included with Plus. Neither side ever sees a number, and the driver can decline and reply by text instead.

Thirty seconds of voice, or one line of text, to every driver within three kilometres. It expires in half an hour.
An accident on Calea Turzii. A radar trap on the A3. A free level in the underground car park. Your plate is attached to whatever you say, which is exactly why people behave.

Cluj → Vama Veche, 12 August, nine cars, two seats free. Everyone in the group can reach everyone else by plate, and only for as long as the trip lasts.
What they see
They get your plate. That’s all they get.
Your name, your number and where you have been never leave your phone.
Claiming a plate takes a document check, so a verified owner is genuinely the owner. Co-drivers share a car without sharing an account, and hand it back when the trip ends.

One car is on us.
Pay only if you need more cars, or you would rather talk than type.
Messaging is free and stays free. The two things that cost money are extra cars and masked calls, because both of them cost us money.
Calls are metered at cost — €0.50 for a single call. Cancel whenever.
