Car QR Contact Stickers Compared: India, Korea and Moldova

· Checked

The best car QR contact sticker is the one whose region, setup and contact route match the job. Sampark and QrMyCar document India-facing QR contact. PLEASY documents QR and NFC contact in South Korea. CarQR documents a Moldova-focused QR service. This is a cross-country mechanism comparison, not a claim that all four are sold, supported or widely adopted everywhere.

Choose one of these products when you want strangers to reach your own prepared car by scanning something already on it. Choose issuing-country and plate messaging when you need to address another car with no vendor code visible. That difference matters more than a temporary price, a self-reported user count or a marketing badge.

re:plyte is available now from the App Store and Google Play.

The practical comparison

Product Region evidenced by the source What the owner prepares What the finder can do Limit to keep in view
Sampark India Activate a physical or digital vehicle QR tag Open a browser flow for a masked call, SMS or WhatsApp contact No Sampark tag means no Sampark contact route
QrMyCar India Register and place its QR sticker Scan without an app, then use an anonymous message or masked-call flow; the owner can receive WhatsApp alerts The owner must activate it; an optional emergency contact is public when enabled
PLEASY South Korea Use its QR or NFC parking sticker and service Open web chat without a finder app; member chat and a non-member SMS path are described separately Representative-number SMS is not evidence of the same two-way private chat for every non-member
CarQR Moldova Register its QR stickers and choose contact settings Use a protected call, WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram or account chat Full access and some routed-contact allowances are time- or quantity-limited
re:plyte Supported issuing countries The recipient claims a plate; a claimed car can also use its opaque QR or printable PDF Select issuing country and plate, choose a reason, then send text, photos, voice or location An unclaimed plate receives the message only if its owner claims it within 30 days

Prices are deliberately absent from this table. They change faster than the contact model and say nothing about whether the relevant owner has activated the product, whether a message will arrive or whether the owner will answer. Check the current vendor checkout in your country if a QR route fits your use case.

The shared QR model

In every case, the owner must place and activate a vendor QR sticker before contact can start. A QR product only works on a vehicle with that tag; it cannot work on a car with no sticker or code to scan. This is the category’s structural boundary, not a defect unique to one supplier.

The upside is low finder friction. A visible QR code gives a passer-by an obvious action, and each selected vendor describes a browser-accessible route. The finder does not first have to identify the right app, create an account and type a number plate. That can be valuable for a blocked driveway, lights left on or accidental damage when the prepared car is right in front of them.

The owner still has work to do beforehand: obtain or create the tag, connect it to the right contact details, mount it where a camera can read it, keep the account current and understand what each enabled channel discloses. “QR contact” describes the entry point; it does not guarantee identical privacy, delivery or service duration across vendors.

Sampark: an India-facing masked-contact route

Sampark’s current first-party page identifies India as its market and offers physical and digital vehicle QR tags. It says a scanner can open the contact flow in a browser and use masked calling, SMS or WhatsApp without the owner’s normal phone number being displayed.

That makes Sampark relevant when the owner wants a recognizable scan target on a prepared vehicle and prefers several contact routes. The page also advertises vehicle-management extras, but those extras do not change the core dependency: the particular vehicle must carry an activated Sampark tag.

This comparison does not repeat the page’s user, growth, rating or satisfaction figures as facts. Vendor counters are not independent evidence of local coverage, delivery success or a reply from the next parked car you encounter. For a broader India-specific decision, see QR tags versus plate messaging in India.

QrMyCar: an India-facing no-finder-app flow

QrMyCar’s current page says its stickers ship across India. It describes a scanner using an ordinary phone camera without installing an app or signing up, then sending an anonymous message or starting a masked call. The owner can receive WhatsApp alerts.

QrMyCar’s privacy policy makes the channel boundary explicit: ordinary scanner contact hides owner details, but an optional emergency contact is publicly visible to every scanner when the owner enables it. Masked-call and WhatsApp settings are also owner-controlled. The same policy separates individual-owner setup from a housing-society model in which the society uploads resident and vehicle data.

The useful distinction is the clear browser-first path for the finder. The important precondition is equally clear: the owner has to register and place the QrMyCar sticker. Its displayed totals for users, sales, cities and uptime are vendor claims, so they are not used to rank it against the other options.

Sampark and QrMyCar therefore solve a similar inbound problem, but their exact setup, channel behavior and account controls should be checked in the live flow before purchase. Neither source establishes that an arbitrary untagged car in India can be contacted through its service.

PLEASY: South Korean QR, NFC and split contact paths

PLEASY’s Korean first-party page describes a parking sticker that replaces a visible phone number with QR or NFC contact. It says a scanner can open web chat without installing the app. The same page also describes plate recognition, chat between members and representative-number SMS to non-members.

Those paths should not be collapsed into one promise. A representative-number SMS is not proof of two-way private chat with every non-member. Member chat, non-member notification and a QR/NFC scan may have different identity, reply and delivery behavior. The page does not establish nationwide user density, a response time or successful delivery for every plate.

PLEASY is therefore the relevant choice in this set when a South Korea-specific QR or NFC flow is the requirement, provided its live member and non-member behavior matches what you need. The regional context and other Korean options are covered in how Korean drivers contact a parked car.

CarQR: Moldova channel choice with explicit service limits

CarQR identifies itself as a Moldova vehicle contact card. Its current page describes windscreen QR stickers and lets a scanner reach a participating owner through a protected call, WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram or chat in the owner’s account. It also presents stickers for a door and personal items, so the offering is broader than one windscreen code.

The current CarQR offer adds limits that a buyer should read before treating the printed code as an indefinite full-service route. It says full access lasts 12 months, temporary-number calls are capped at 30 minutes in total, and the service includes up to 120 SMS. It also says the temporary-number and SMS features work only with Moldova mobile operators. After the access period, only the registered personal-number route remains available unless service is renewed.

That does not make CarQR a poor fit. It makes the decision concrete: choose it when its Moldova scope, channel menu and stated renewal model suit you. Do not describe the whole bundle as permanently subscription-free, and do not treat a legal offer as evidence of market penetration or message-delivery performance. A Romanian-language Moldova guide to the adjacent plate-first problem is available at cum ajungi la proprietar după număr.

Phone-number privacy is channel-specific

Each selected vendor says it reduces exposure compared with printing a personal number on the dashboard. That does not justify the stronger claim that every participant’s number stays hidden through every possible channel and handoff.

  • Sampark describes masked calling, SMS and WhatsApp delivery without displaying the owner’s number.
  • QrMyCar describes anonymous messages and masked calls, with WhatsApp alerts for the owner; an enabled emergency contact is publicly visible.
  • PLEASY distinguishes chat between members from representative-number SMS to non-members.
  • CarQR describes protected calls, external messenger choices and its own account chat.

Before enabling a route, test what the finder sees, what the owner sees, whether an external messenger reveals a profile or number, whether replies stay inside the service and what happens after a subscription or allowance ends. The vendor’s documented flow is the evidence here; this article does not turn it into an absolute security guarantee.

When plate-first messaging is the better fit

A QR sticker is strongest for inbound contact to a vehicle whose owner planned ahead. It is powerless when the car you need to reach has no compatible code. A licence plate reverses that starting condition because the sender can use an address already attached to the vehicle.

That is where re:plyte is the better choice: private driver contact starts with the issuing country and plate, followed by a reason for contact. Neither participant is given the other’s phone number. Conversations can carry text, photos, voice notes and a location. Claimed-car owners control accepted reasons and quiet hours. They can use Garage, invite co-drivers, create an opaque car QR link and download a printable PDF. Nearby, communities, trip groups and a Fleet inbox cover coordination beyond a single parking incident, and the shipped app currently supports 19 languages.

The constraint remains explicit. If a plate has not been claimed, an eligible message is held for up to 30 days and delivered only if the owner claims it during that window; otherwise it expires. Plate-first addressing is not proof that the owner has joined, will see the message immediately or will reply. For urgent danger, injury, fire or an active road hazard, use the appropriate emergency service.

Access and billing

Premium is purchased through the App Store or Google Play and activates only after server verification. If a store transaction is unavailable, cancelled, declined or unverified, Free access stays intact. Fleet starts with the sales team under a custom Stripe agreement and is not a consumer store product. The website has no checkout.

Locale and country do not hide the normal Premium Buy interface. The platform store and its current product catalogue decide whether a purchase can be offered, and a missing or rejected product must remain a recoverable outcome rather than damaging Free access.

A decision you can make quickly

  • Choose Sampark or QrMyCar when you are preparing your own vehicle in India and their current browser, call and message flows match your needs.
  • Choose PLEASY when South Korean QR or NFC contact is the requirement and you have verified how its member chat and non-member SMS paths behave.
  • Choose CarQR when you are in Moldova, want its channel choices and accept the documented 12-month full-access period and routed-contact allowances.
  • Choose re:plyte when the vehicle has no vendor sticker and issuing country plus plate is the address you have, while accepting the 30-day claim window for an unclaimed plate.
  • Use neither category as an emergency service.

For plate-first private driver contact, install re:plyte directly from the App Store or Google Play.

Frequently asked questions

Which car QR contact sticker is best?

Choose for the country and contact flow you can actually use. Sampark and QrMyCar document India-facing scan flows, PLEASY documents QR and NFC contact in South Korea, and CarQR documents a Moldova-specific service. None is a universal directory for cars that never installed its code.

Does the person scanning need an app?

The current Sampark and QrMyCar pages describe browser-based contact without a finder app. PLEASY describes web chat without an app for a scanner, while its member and non-member paths differ. CarQR describes browser access and several call or messaging choices. Owner registration and product setup still apply.

Do all QR car stickers hide both phone numbers in every channel?

Do not assume that from the category name. Each vendor describes its own privacy mechanism: Sampark describes masked contact; QrMyCar describes masked or anonymous contact but says an enabled emergency contact is publicly visible; PLEASY distinguishes member chat from representative-number SMS to non-members; and CarQR offers protected calls plus external messengers and account chat. Test the exact channel you plan to enable.

How long does CarQR service last?

CarQR's current offer says full access lasts 12 months. It also states a total 30-minute temporary-number allowance and up to 120 SMS, with those two features limited to Moldova mobile operators. After the access period, the terms say only the registered personal-number route remains unless service is renewed.

What if the other car has no QR code?

A sticker product has nothing to scan on an unprepared car. re:plyte instead starts with issuing country and plate, but delivery still depends on the owner joining: an eligible message for an unclaimed plate waits for up to 30 days and then expires if the plate is not claimed.
